Katonah Yoga

Katonah Yoga® is a syncretic Hatha yoga practice developed by Nevine Michaan over the past 40 years. It weaves classical Hatha with Taoist theory, geometry, metaphor, mythology, and imagination — offering a practical framework for personal and communal well-being.

The practice uses maps of time and space to define and refine personal experience. Through asana work (often thought of as origami for the body), we manipulate form to serve function and develop a deeper sense of personal measure.

Move Better: Mobility Foundations 

Can you hinge, squat, lunge, bridge, jump, hang, plank, and press overhead with ease? If not, this class is here to help you move better, recover effectively, and build the foundation needed for all our other classes.

We’ll work on joint independence, reprogram movement patterns, and address soft tissue tightness to enhance your range of motion and control. With focused & applicable mobility exercises + breathing techniques you’ll prepare your body for everything from running and cycling to martial arts, dance, and everyday activities.

This strength-based class utilizes kettlebells as a tool to awaken your body and mind. It will cover fundamental movement patterns and foundational kettlebell exercises while moving through a wide array of joint positions and strengthening end-ranges of motion. With a focus on movement execution and the “mind to muscle connection”, this class will help you to understand where you should “feel” exercises while drawing your focus within, deepening your mental connection with your body and its movement through space. You will leave feeling stronger, more energized, and more in tune with both body and mind. No prior movement experience necessary.

Kettlebell Strength & Mobility 

Total Body Conditioning

Strength training? Yes. Cardio conditioning? Yes. Mobility training? Yes!  You get the picture. It’s exactly what the name indicates. We’ll use bodyweight, dumbbells, kettlebells (don’t worry if you’ve never used them, we got you), and even the occasional jump-rope to hit the whole body with exercises designed to increase your strength and heart health, and improve your everyday movement.

Vinyasa Yoga

Discover the transformative process of building a handstand practice! This class focuses on alignment, strength, and balance, beginning with wrist and shoulder preparation, followed by core and shoulder conditioning, flexibility work, and progressive handstand drills. Training includes work on the floor, at the wall, and with partners, all aimed at developing the ability to hold a freestanding handstand. Mat Pilates

Meet your powerhouse! In Mat Pilates, we use functional movements and breath work to build strength, stability and mobility in the powerhouse or "hub" of your body: the abdominals, the back muscles, the pelvic floor, the glutes and the muscles in and around the hips.

Our goal is to help you move through daily life and the activities you enjoy (whether that's walking, running, dance, CrossFit, gardening or anything else) with ease, comfort and your most supportive posture. We'll also build our mind-body connection and practice mindfulness, control and precision.

We like to think of a Mat Pilates session as a whole-body tune-up, helping your body feel its best so you can tackle all the other things that are important to you. This class is primarily taught at a beginner and intermediate level, with lots of options offered.

Note: Some movements may not be ideal if you are pregnant or newly postpartum, but modifications can be provided for these special situations on request.

Somatic Yoga

A grounding and restorative practice that blends breathwork, meditation, gentle movement, and visualization to support nervous system regulation and embodied awareness.

Capoeira Angola

Capoeira Angola is a rich Afro-Brazilian art form that blends movement, music, and ritual. In class, we train kicks, handstands, cartwheels, bridges, and chamadas (ritual calls), while building strength, mobility, rhythm, and agility. Through playful games of attack and defense, we develop coordination, awareness, and expression—accompanied by live music and singing.
